Trainers: Amanda Hayes Ruth Parrish   Training Manager, Amanda Hayes, and the Training Team work closely with you and your dog to customize the right training goals!  Our training methods are based on positive reinforcement techniques. The Country Acres Staff prides themselves in offering a fun and energetic learning environment. Training provides good manners, as well as additional needed mental stimulation and physical exercise for you life-long companion.  Positive reinforcement training establishes and enhances a strong bond between the caregivers and their pet. It brings about a lifetime of trust, love and devotion. Your dog will look forward to training sessions, and become the happy and confidant companion you’ve always wanted.

Train While Boarding We offer beginning obedience training and refresher sessions for your pet while he/she boards with us. This is designed for the busy dog owner or for those who may not be able to physically do the training themselves. The training can focus on skills ranging from basic control, or for dogs staying longer periods, advanced training is available. The training can be modified to fit your dog’s needs, and to correct various behavioral problems. Not only do our training techniques instill a love for training in-and-of-itself, but your dog(s) will come home happy and better mannered. We also offer the option of doing an intense two to three week boarding school training program that includes two to three lessons with you in your home to insure a smooth transition. Rates: $25 per day + boarding (For Boarding School stays of two weeks or longer the boarding rate is discounted). Train During Playcare We offer beginning training for your pet during Playcare. Your pet can be dropped off as early as 7:45 am and can be picked up as late as 9:00 pm, by appointment. The trainers will work with your pet one on one three times a day for ten to fifteen minutes each session.  We recommend that the duration of this training course be three weeks, although we can cater the program to meet your needs if you feel less time is required. You may also continue Playcare training sessions past three weeks if more extensive or specific behavioral modifications are desired.  You will receive daily progress reports and instruction on working with your pet at home from your pet’s trainer Rates: $25 + a discounted Playcare rate of $9 per day .
